The public beach is an easy 5 minute walk through a Mayan archaeological site. The main shopping area, ferry to Cozumel and loads of fantastic restaurants are 5-10 minutes walk. Opposite the Reef Club is the entrance to the golf course. Casa Tortuga, is located next to the tennis court in the front and a few steps from the hotel sized pool through a shared garden area in the back. The tropical Aviary is a few houses away.
